NHL/NHLPA FIRST SHIFT PROGRAM
The Stoney Creek Girls Hockey Association is excited to provide an all-girls NHL/NHLPA FIRST SHIFT program.
The program is open to girls ages 6-10 that want to fall in love with the game of hockey.
The NHL/NHLPA FIRST SHIFT program is designed to ensure a positive experience for new-to-hockey families. We want families to experience the game at its best — to understand why so many Canadians feel an inherent love for the sport, and to stimulate a desire for continued participation. We want to take away any intimidation as it relates to equipment requirements, and/or rules of the game, remove potential safety concerns, and most importantly, provide an experience that is memorable and fun.
WHAT'S INCLUDED?
The cost of the FIRST SHIFT program is only $299.
Players will receive:
- A Fun Welcome Event
- Bauer Equipment from Head to Toe
- Equipment Fitting Demonstration
The program will take place at Gateway Arena and begin with a welcome event on January 30th.
The On-Ice experience with SCGHA includes:
- 6 weeks, 1 session/week, 1 hour per session
The program will run on Friday nights starting Feb 2nd at 6:45pm at Gateway arena.
What's Next?
The SECOND SHIFT program will start immediately after the FIRST SHIFT ends for only $80.
Once these players get the hockey bug, they aren't ready to quit after 6 weeks.
SCGHA will run another 6 week program called SECOND SHIFT to keep them going.
