As the OWHA provincials were being played a tragedy occurred in Humboldt, Saskatchewan.  The OWHA wanted to recognize and pay tribute to the players and families of the Humboldt Broncos.

At the beginning of the Championship Games all Players and referees gathered in a circle for a moment of silence.

Stoney Creek's Novice B team donated a $1,000 from their remaining budget to the Humboldt Broncos go fund me page, to support the victims and families.

Atom AA donated $250 as well.
