WAY TO GO SABRES!!!
On May 6, 2010, the SCGHA was honoured by the City of Hamilton by being the recipient of the inaugural Dr. Gene Sutton Award of Club Excellence. This award was in recognition for our efforts at promoting healthy living and an active lifestyle. Our association was selected from all of the volunteer driven, youth amatuer sports associations in Hamilton. Thank you to all for your continued efforts and thank you to the selection committee for this distinction.

Sport Hamilton and McMaster Sport Medicine are presenting a free workshop for coaching staff, athletes and parents on
June 23, 2010 6-9 pm on the topic of:
ATHLETE PREPARATION
AND REHABILITATION PRINCIPLES

pre-registration is required, for further details please visit sporthamilton.com

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of Bev Mallory at her passing April 16.
Bev was one of our association founders as well as one of the founders of the Ontario Womens Hockey
Association.

Bev, you will be greatly missed.

5/8: SR A team is seeking 2 players. See competitive page for details

PLAYER PERFORMANCE

The Stoney Creek Girls Hockey Association is a proud recognized affiliated youth user group within the City of Hamilton. To qualify for youth ice subsidization our association must comply with a City stipulated minimum of 95% resident membership.
To best enhance our SCGHA programs, the executive decided that the AA programs have first option to the majority of non-resident player positions. Should the non resident quota not be consumed by these programs, these positions shall be open to other programs on a case by case basis. The Intermediate AA program is separate from the other programs and has their own criteria for non-residents.
